But what about all the servers "in between" the originating server and the
destination server?
Any bounce that doesn't happen when the server is still connected *may* not
actually inform the original sender, however people are using bounce scripts
and they are working.
These are basically theoretical arguments whether bounces work or not. In
actuality, they work sometimes, and other times they don't. However, there
are people who say that Bouncer (and Mail's bounce) actually work.
