Ditto to all Paul said: AS Studio, Facespan, 24U Appearance. I've not played
around with Smile's capabilities in that area for the reasons Paul cites.
24U does give a lot in terms of its "display better dialog" command,
including radio buttons, checkboxes, multiple text boxes, and popup menus.

For a simple example of an AS Studio app, take a look at "Tex-Aid" that
comes with the shareware Tex-Edit Plus. It comes with documentation
explaining how to modify it. Takes you right into Project Builder and
Interface Builder. And the whole TE+ package is only $15 shareware, worth
five or ten times that. Also, you may want to see if you can check out the
book, "Sams Teach Yourself AppleScript in 24 Hours". It contains 120 pages
on the Studio. I have not been thru it to know if it is any good, but I
bought a copy in hopes that it is.
