Just to weigh in with my own experiences, having had multiple phones, and carriers: - Whatever you do, STAY AWAY FROM AT&T AT ALL COSTS!!! Seriously, these goons couldn't spell 'customer service', much less 'service' if their business depended on it (which, apparently, by their behavior, it does not. That's really the biggest issue. - I don't know anyone who still uses the T68. A cute phone, but woefully underpowered, and pretty much useless, except as an early demonstration that bluetooth works. Don't even bother looking at it now. - The phones to get would be the Nokia 3650, or the SonyEricsson P800. The P800 is overpriced, IMO, though a nice piece of work. I for one am extremely satisfied with the Nokia 3650. Aside from a quirky keypad arrangement, it has proven to be the most reliable and functional phone I had so far. The built-in camera is cute, and can come in handy, but what sold me mostly on the phone was that it supported memory expansion in the form of an MMC card. So my phone right now sports 128mb of internal memory. It supports bluetooth, and under Panther calendar and address book are well sync'd. The screen is nice and large enough to work adequately for a PIM (the P800 wins on screen size). T-Mobile (at least in my area) is the best carrier I have used so far, and they currently offer a deal of 1,000 minutes at $39.95, and you can get unlimited internet at $19.95 (which means you get to use your phone as a bluetooth modem - which works VERY well, by the way. An ideal feature when you are on the go, and need access to e-mail).
