I have a project I am working on right now which requires hundreds of
attachments (screen shots) to be sent to me by hundreds of different people,
all of whom have a very bad habit of not renaming the files to something
more descriptive than "Picture1.pdf". When I save all these attachments to
file, it leaves me with a folder full of files with mostly the same name,
plus a sequence number. This is not helpful to me at all since I need to
reference the person who sent each attachment and I have no easy way to do
that :(

Is there a script out there that I haven't found on my own yet that will

A) save the attachment to a folder I have specified
B) rename the saved attachment to a string and sequence I specify
C) insert the name of the renamed file into the email, which is still in
Entourage, so that I can reference which file belongs to which email.

Is there such a beast? Is this even possible? If it is possible but doesn't
exist, are any script builders in the mood to help me out with a script?

Thank you,

Laurie
