I'm helping a friend try to move her Palm Desktop Calendar (v 4) into Entourage X.
As with Entourage's Import steps, each window is very clear and self explanatory. But by choosing Palm Desktop for importing, we eventually get to a window that only has "Open: Entourage" in its title bar.
The first question is: why would it be wanting to find Entourage, when we're already using it to do the import process in the first place. The second question is that when we humor the request and try to choose Entourage, it's grayed out.
Has anyone done this particular import into E'rage X? Any ideas? Many thanks as always!
Entourage X cannot import from Palm Desktop 4.x for OS X, only from PD 2.6.x for OS 8/9. PD 4.x didn't exist when Entourage X was released.
If you can export from PD 4.x to a Palm handheld, then from there to to PD 2.6.x when booted in OS 9 (the conduit won't run in Classic on OS X, if I remember correctly) - IF your computer will in fact boot into OS 9 (new Apple computers - since last January - can't boot into OS 9), that's one way to do it. Or you can get my shareware scripts "Export-Import Entourage X" from

and use the "Other Converters" (see "Other Programs" in the ReadMe) to export from PD 4.x to Entourage X - although Calendar is a bit tricky, it can be done.
