Hi Carsten, First try increasing Entourage 2001's memory: Navigate to the Entourage application in the Finder, select it and Get Info (Command i). Go to the Memory pane and raise Entourage�s Preferred memory to 20000K (leave Minimum memory alone). Also, be sure Virtual Memory is turned on (Control Panels> Memory).
I don't think the problem is corruption, which would necessitate the rebuild, but I could be wrong. Hope this helps.
