Hello all:
I'm a newbie to this list, so apologies if the following has been
discussed in the past.
I run a network of 70+ Macs with a mix of OSs from 8.1 to Panther (!)
all hooked into a DP XServer. I have a client running Entourage
v10.1.5 in Jagwire on a 400 MHz G4 tower/512MB RAM, who is unable to
print from Entourage to either of two HP LaserJet 5000N printers on
our network. We get a printer error 79.00 FE every time we try to
print. I recall seeing this error previously when trying to print
PDFs containing embedded EPSF, which is a problem in the printer's
firmware, as I understand it. The printer can print it's own config,
error log and menu map pages, so I'm wondering if there's a specific
prob with Entourage talking to this printer? We can print to other HP
printers (LaserJet 4100) okay.
Any advice appreciated.
