Hello all, I've got a real head-scratcher and hope someone here will have some thoughts.
At my office, we use Entourage 10.1.4 as a Mac client for our Exchange 2000 server - roaming users through POP, regular users through Exchange/IMAP accounts. Recently, some of our users reported that incoming HTML messages didn't render - the content simply showed up as raw HTML We discovered that the affected users were all also having their mail forwarded to accounts on our Blackberry Enterprise Server (v. 3.5.0.52). Tests confirmed that it is the hook from the Blackberry server into Exchange somehow breaks the rendering - I sent myself an Evite last night which showed up OK in my IMAP inbox when I wasn't set up for the forwarding and now that I am, it no longer renders in Entourage. However, if I access Outlook Web Access with Safari, those very same messages render just fine! Fortunately, the 'damage' seems to be reversible - after my Blackberry account was deleted, existing HTML messages still did not render, but new ones did. Users with Outlook and Outlook Express on PCs are not affected by this, incidentally. Research In Motion, of course, have no interest in supporting Macs with their otherwise useful handheld devices so I expect trying to get support from them will be futile. Any help will be appreciated...
