Not true. Only in certain cases. Most people will not want to delete all their messages from the IMAP server. Instead, you could go to Entourage/Work Offline, then control-click on the server icon in Folder List (before leaving Entourage X) and select "Empty Cache". Then quit. When launching 2004, turn it back to Work Online You'll get new headers and no duplicates. > 2. Import rules, but then check each rule to make sure any folders > used within the rules are correct. But it indicates you had a corrupt database before - the "special circumstance". Had you rebuilt your X database before importing it, this would not happen, and won't happen to most people if their database is OK. The exception might be Exchange folders (I'm not certain). In Entourage 10.1.4 the Exchange mail was IMAP, whereas in 2004 it's DAV. So the whole structure is rebuilt and the Exchange folder IDs will be completely different. Is this all to do with Exchange mail folders? That would be the other "special circumstance". > 3. Can never hurt, but is not necessary. -- Paul Berkowitz MVP Entourage Entourage FAQ Page: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/toc.html> AppleScripts for Entourage: <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/> PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - **2004**, X or 2001.
