Have you tried the preview pane in 2004 using the new 3-column view? If you
have a large monitor - 20"-23" - it's a really nice layout with the preview
pane wider than plain text messages and much less scrolling than in the old
3-pane view. On my 12-inch iBook it's not good - too narrow. I'd guess 17" -
the standard - would be fine.
