What you are talking about is digest messages, that is, very long messages; correct? Are these plain text digests, or HTML? If HTML, try choosing a different font for display. Or, try switching to plain text! I have, long ago, stopped receiving any mailing lists in digest form. Rather, I set up a mailing list rule for each list that stores each list's messages in their own folder, and I set the lists to send me individual messages. That way, I can view threads with all messages grouped together, instead of being forced to scroll through the messages in sequential order, with threads jumbled together. Or, I can sort by author, or filter by subject using the quick filter.
