1. There's no such thing as Entourage 98. Entourage didn't exist until
Office 2001. So you either mean Entourage 2001, or you're going to be stuck
with Outlook Express 5.

2. Ent X can import from 2001, but 2001 can't import from X. Nor can OE.

3. My scripts "Export-Import Entourage X" and "Export-Import Entourage 2001"
(one code opens both sets) can be used to export from X to 2001 - in fact
it's the only way aside from email. So if you're talking about Ent 2001, I
think this is your best bet. You can get the scripts at

 MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

4. If you don't have Office 2001 but only 98, things will be difficult. OE 5
cannot import MBOX files (whole mail folders) - you'd have to drag masses of
individual messages form Ent as .eml files, then into OE. You can export
contacts from File/Export ad import them via File/Import in OE. It won't
matter that you can't export categories since OE doesn't do categories ( and
a few other fields).

PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - **2004**, X
or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.
