causes a problem.  From what I remember, if ANY message is set up in a way
that is not correct, that somehow locks up the whole inbox.  One way things
could be incorrect is to have an non-workable ISP (i.e., no longer current
in terms of your current connection) in one or more of the outgoing items.

Note to Mac MBU: I think of this a quirk, foible, or even requirement -- not
as a bug.
