Sorry to hear about your problems. This is probably not the answer you're
looking for, but I remember the first time I took a trip from Japan to the
US with Entourage on my iBook, I was bewildered because every daytime event
I entered would move itself to the previous night. In due course I stumbled
on the cause: In preferences, under "calendar" there's a setting for the
default time zone for new events. Once I switched that from Japan time to
the local US time zone all was well. Then of course I had to switch back
after I returned to Tokyo.

I do think E'rage is a bit too smart for its own good in juggling time
zones. For example, when you shift your time zone in the system preferences,
all your existing events get shifted accordingly. So when I look back in my
calendar at periods when I was in the US, all the events show up in Tokyo
time, unless I temporarily switch the system clock, which is a nuisance to
have to do. I'd personally much prefer a setup that would simply ignore
time zones. Failing that, I think that at least the default time zone for
new events should automatically be set at the system time zone.

Anyway, good luck getting your events to stay where you want them!
