Your situation is a bit different from the one where the following fix found
the files, but it's worth a try.

Do a search for the "lost+found" folder. It's an invisible file.

The 'lost+found' directory is created by fsck if it finds orphaned files
during the boot process, or by the user running Disk Utility. For a
