Yep, that's the name. The quote-mark is "inches" and it's just the name the computer came with, when I bought it, used. Can I change the name of the drive without messing up my Home-identity? In that case I'll certainly try that.

The name of your hard drive is iMac 17" - with the quote marks? Are those straight quotes or 'curly quotes'? That may be the problem. I have previously had problems with hard disks named with non-alphanumeric characters. With OS X I have no idea whether simply changing the name of a hard disk is a practical proposition, but I would suggest you try. -- Barry Wainwright Microsoft MVP (see http://mvp.support.microsoft.com for details) Seen the All-New Entourage Help Pages? - Check them out: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> > From: Carsten Ortmann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: "Entourage:mac Talk" <[email protected]> > Date: Sat, 04 Jun 2005 16:16:08 +0200 > To: "Entourage:mac Talk" <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: SV: How I Lost 30 pounds of excess Entourage weight and kept if > off! > > Thanks for your reply. > > I did get as far as to the Import menu and also the next step of > check-marking Entourage, but from thereon I stall.
