Well Robert,
You could use the keyboard command to open a new main window, which is: hold down the apple, option and shift keys, then press the “N” key. Takes a little getting used to, but your left hand fingers are in that vicinity anyway when you tab to the app. I use it often, as it has become quite natural for me.

Is there an automatic way to have Entourage open its window whenever I Tab to the application? Now I need to open a new window even after tabbing to Entourage as the active application.
