Generally speaking -- and I've seen this on Entourage 2004 and SP1 -- events
that are synchronized from a Palm or created via and AppleScript appear to
be treated as if they are already invitations. This is more apparent if you
are also using a Microsoft Exchange account with Entourage, where you have
the potential to get duplicates of these items as they sync to your Exchange
calendar.

I consider this a flaw in Entourage, and hopefully it will be fixed in the
future. We have reported it to Microsoft, because it impacted our migration
from another calendar system to Exchange -- we had to use Palms and
AppleScript-created events to assist in getting the legacy data into Erage
and up to a person's Exchange account.

If you're going to create an event that needs an invitation, I would create
it in Entourage directly. If you have to create it on your Palm, use that as
a reminder to delete it and re-create it in Erage.

HTH.
