First, quit all office apps, including the Database Daemon (which can be quitted using the 'Activity Monitor' application).
Then, move the whole 'Microsoft User Data' folder from your user Documents folder to the desktop. Start entourage. If entourage now starts (with a new, empty database) then the problem lies within your data. If it still doesn't start, then in the system, create a new logon account, and try to fire up entourage from there - if that works, the problem lies within your preferences and support files. If that doesn't work, remove all trace of Office by using the 'remove office' utility that can be found on your installation disk. Note that this will NOT remove any of your own data in the MUD folder, but will remove all apps, support files, preferences etc. If you still can't start up, the only other possibility I can think of is that you may have a corrupt font or a font conflict. Open the 'Font Book' application, and make sure there is only one copy of each font installed (there are several possible locations for fonts, and having different versions of the same font in each location is not uncommon) and that font book thinks the fonts are OK.
