Sorry Rich, I believe you are incorrect. I was there and Roz
specifically said that Entourage would be "Spotlightable."
On another note, my db _is_ huge, and it is driving me nuts.

No you did not hear that nor are you likely to. I'm not sure that a
monolithic database such as Entourage uses is what you want for
spotlightability. Just think it would need to be indexed for
*EVERY* email
and most people's Entourage databases are huge.
