Thanks, but that's not the one I was trying to find. Someone on another site found it for me: The Eno River State Park.
Unfortunately, the park service ruined the reason I wanted to see it. It was the Occonneechee Raceway, the second-ever NASCAR site, and was abandoned in 1968. I wanted to see how the forest was reclaiming the bleachers and offices and other structures. However, last year, at the urging of race fans, the park service went in and restored the concrete bleachers, tore down some of the old buildings that were collapsing, and rebuilt them. So, now there's not much point in me making the drive over to see the place.
