It appears to be a Quercus hemisphaerica, but I can't say for sure
until you see the leaf drop time.  A Darlington oak.  If it were a Q.
lautifolia, it would drop leaves in the fall.  The Darlington will
drop leaves in a very brief period in February or so and rebud with a
brilliant orange leaf.

I have a couple of these I purchased from a local botanist.  The daddy
tree is a massive oak growing in the open.
