Not trying to be an officious prick here, but Lone Elk Park is not a state park. I only mention this because when I tried to look it up on the Internet, this fact caused some problems. It's a wildlife management area and not a state park, and is not listed on the Missouri State Parks website. My wife and I are planning a trip to Missouri, hopefully in 2009 or 2010, and I thought I might add it to our to-visit list. Thus, the problem when I tried to get some official information.
