Your yard sounds wonderful.  What kind of plants do you have growing?  As to 
your question about places in North Carolina, I don't know of any personly but 
I am sure if you go to your local botanical garden and ask them they might know.

Do you know if there is a similar organization here in North
Carolina?  The Shaw Nature Reserve looks wonderful.  I created some
very small wetlands in my backyard.  A swamp, marsh, bogs, and pond.
Have some very nice things living there.
