Lalab, is a dish of fresh leaves and other part of plants, such as fruits, nuts and even flowers that are eaten along with the main food (rice). <br> <br> The Sundanese people have been used to this habit of eating plants, such as lalab, for generations until today. There is even a proverb that says that Sundanese people will never be starved even if they were left in a jungle aslong as there are plants for them to eat. This proverb, which sometimes is used as some kind of joke by the Javeneses, actually has a deeper meaning. Indonesia is a tropical country that has abundant biological resources, and even is the world� s greatest mega biodiversity country after Brazil.
