Please find below minutes of the “Logging Moratorium” discussion meeting[1] held in
LEI’s new office at Jl Taman Malabar 18, Bogor, Indonesia on February 20th, 2001. The
meeting was attended by 25 participants representing 15 ENGOs and other organizations,
including: Eknas (National Executive) WALHI, Forest Watch Indonesia (FWI), The
Nusantara Alliance of Traditional Communities (Aliansi Masyarakat Adat Nusantara –
AMAN), Telapak, Sawit Watch, Consortium for Supporting Community-Based Forest System
(Konsorsium Pendukung Sistem Kehutanan Rakyat – KpSHK), RMI-The Indonesian Institute
for Forest and Enviroment, LATIN, BIOFORUM, Hakiki (based in the province of Riau),
Yayasan Cinta Alam – Yascita (based in South-East Sulawesi), YLKAMD (based in West
Kalimantan), Handal/Curds, Faculty of Forestry – Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB),
and LEI.
