Hi,
I wrote a little export plugin for eog [1]. Pressing the export menu
item or "E" will copy the current image to a separate directory
(currently hardcoded as ~/exported-images). This has proven very handy
for me when I have to select a subset of photos for publication or
printing. Would you be interested in adding the plugin to the
eog-plugins package? If so, I could polish the plugin a little more and
make the export directory configurable in the preferences.
