The SIgma site is running fine right now. The URL for the page on the Elan 
7 is http://www.sigmaphoto.com/Html/news/Elan7.htm. There is a copyright 
issue, as this is an announcement from a company.  <News> has nothing to do 
with it. A news article in the NYTimes is likewise copyright materiel. The 
other reason I'd rather not repost it here is that it's longish and 
contains some formatting that makes it easier to read, but which might not 
be visible on each EOS list member's newsreader.
