I have no direct experience, but it is just a fill in grip. It is the same
grip that comes with a 1v or 3. I believe most who would by one are those
who bought the 1vHS and decided to remove the booster. Or bought a booster
and lost the grip and want a replacement. There are no control, but it does
hold the 2CR5 battery.
