If you're going on a typical safari, the monopod will be more trouble than it's worth. Your enemy will be the idling engine of your Land Rover and the people jockeying for position in the back seats. The monopod will simply transmit all that vibration right to your camera. I got a lot of use out of my fleece sweaters and a beanbag. >Any thoughts about filters other than Polarizers and UV? Thinking of taking some 400 to smooth out the long lens. Film? I shot Velvia (spectacular), Provia 100F (good, but not as good as Velvia), and 800 speed print film (not too hot). I pushed a few rolls of Provia 100F to 200 and 400, and I was very pleased with the results. For print film I'd recommend Kodak's new Supra in 100 and 800 speeds. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
