Just to help out with the confusion over the price of the EF1200, remember that the Canadian dollar has a retail exchange rate of about $1.55 to the US dollar, (it costs about $1.55 Canadian to buy $1.00 US). Therefore, an $US80,000.00 EF1200, will cost $CA124,000.00. Consider also that Canon USA, and Canon Canada do not import from each other, but rather from Canon Japan. So the cost is influenced by the exchange rate against the Yen. Bottom Line: Being Canadian ain't cheap, eh.
