Same story here with my 28-135 IS. I dropped it - attached to the 1N. When
I threw the combo on the bed after a day trip last holiday, it bounced
(damn elastic bed :-( ) and fell on the floor. After that, the focusing ring
was *very* stiff. I also forced it and all is back to normal since then.
