You are very welcome. I bought the 380EX with my Rebel G 4 yrs ago
and am very glad I did. My EOS 55 (ElanIIE QD) has the red assist
light built in, which I really like. But then Canon went and put
a white assist light on the Elan 7e. Grrrrr.....
If the size of the flash bothers you, you can spring for the
remote flash controller Canon came out with recently - it has a
focus assist in it too and isn't very large.
