The EOS SLRs are not like the old mechanical cameras where you crank it and
can get an extra frame or two (sometimes 3) out of a roll of film. Since it
is electronic, it winds to Frame 1 which bypasses potential spare frames
found between the leader and frame 1. At the end, it rewinds automatically
after the roll comes to a stop past the last frame. I have occassioanlly
gotten an extra frame at the tail end, but never the beginning.
