I just took a look at this site and noticed a couple of errors.
http://www.camera.canon.com.my/photography/art/13lighting/index.htm
First, on page 5. (An error of omission and not that important) A list of
EOS Cameras that have a CF function to shut off "auto flash reduction
control" does not include the D30. (and should).
Second, and more serious on page 6 is the statement:
>By selecting the second-curtain sync mode either on the EOS camera (custom
> function) or on the EX Speedlite (availability varies from model to
> model), the flash
> fires right before the shutter curtain closes. As shown in Photo B,
> second-curtain
> sync and a slow sync speed makes the picture look more natural with
> the fireworks
> trail following the child instead.
This is not correct. Second curtain MUST be set on the EX Speedlight or
it will not function. (At least on the D30) I found this out the hard way,
went on a shoot without my flash manual, set second curtain on the D30 and
was very frustrated when it would not work.
Buddy.
