Good Morning! IMHO go for the Eos 5, I love mine to pieces and can honestly say I have no desire to upgrade (would rather spend the money on more glass...) also it is really cheap now. Go for the 28-135IS as well, it's great. I'm sure you will notice a huge difference in what you can do with your photography. My 5 has converted my whole family to Canon, husband has a 1n, oldest daughter has a 500 and middle daughter has a 300. Youngest daughter is still waiting but she is only 10!
