Hello all -

I'm trying to put together an order of the accessories that will
eventually allow me to use multiple speedlites off-camera, or
combination one-on and one or two off. For now I'd like to be able
to use the same equipment to use a single unit (at the moment a 420EX)
off-camera.

I see there are two "hot-shoe adapters" for use on the camera: the
Hot Shoe Adapter 3 (Canon pt#501841) and the OA2. The OA2 says it
will accept "one connecting cord to off-camera Speedlites" plus it
has its own hotshoe. Does that mean that you can go from its output
to a distributor? I'm a little confused by the mixed singular/plural
terms. The #3 Adapter says it "controls up to 4 off-camera
Speedlites" plus it has its own hot shoe. Which do I need if I want
to control the combinations mentioned above?

Also, since there's no image on the B&H site, I just want to confirm:
is the "off-camera shoe adapter" (Canon pt#501641) the unit that goes
under the off-camera flash? I know, sounds obvious, I'm just making
sure!

Thanks for the help as always

Ken
