Hmmm. no. I don't think I've said quite that... Yes, my EOS -3 is
underexposing (when compared to EOS 1 and 1V, and I think also to the EOS
50e that I have), but I've not had the chance to do anything about it. I
shift the ISO with every roll. But I do that with EOS 50e also, because I
think it underexposes a bit too. But perhaps not for the same reason. The
reason in the case of my EOS 50e is more likely the poor evaluative
metering pattern. Besides it's always good to overexpose your print films
a bit ;-)

But now after your comments, I think I will have to check the EOS 50e
against the EOS 3 with partial and center weighted patterns to see if
there is a problem with the EOS 50e too (and not just the poor evaluative
metering pattern) Maybe there is... but still not too big of a problem as
I've used to it long ago.

Oh, and some day soon (I hope) I will take the EOS 3 for a check up....
