My 28-135 IS did the vibration thing very briefly about 2 weeks ago. It was
disconcerting at the time but I've had no repeat of the problem since; and
I've used the lens several times in the interim.

I'm wondering if your lens' IS vibration events started out on an ocassional
basis and then worked up to doing so frequently? Or, did your 28-135 IS
just all of a sudden start doing it? I guess I'm wonding what will happen
as time/use goes on.

You may want to give Canon Service a call to see why the IS noise level has
increased so much. I'd be interested in their response.
