>I am selling well what my D30 produces, so this >meets my definition of "professional". > >Now im curious to learn about your definition. McDonald's sells plenty of hamburgers but if I was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America I am not sure I'd consider their fare <professional>. While your stuff may really be excellent, I have seen plenty of people pay good money for what I would kindly describe as organic fertilizer A profession is, in my opinion, the group of activities that requiring a preparation and a certain formation prepares somebody to develop a series of tasks that will be worthy of a remuneration. I have seen photographers be earned a living with a material that a medium amateur would discard. And their production was not at all "organic fertilizer" to always use those a professional's of the sale sweet and kind words like it is Henry.I have not never stepped a Macdonald's since in NY I prefer Le Cirque for what I cannot say on their professional character. If the main topic is if the D30 are or non professional, finds me clear that the author of the original message referred to that doesn't have the strength, presumably, of cameras like the D1 and others. I know proprietors of D1, mainly journalists, and their work. If the tool must characterize for the result and if the reference is D1 , certainly a Canon D30 is an useful professional except for sport works where it is required blasts of many pictures. If an extremely strong tool is looked for it will be necessary to wait a little more given the short life of existence of D30 to compare it with the other ones. If one judges a camera exclusively for their tact it can fall in the stupidities of thinking systematically that the plastic is inferior that the metal. Without a doubt it is nobler but inferior will depend strictly on the function for which the material is necessary. I am charmed with the D30 and I have won myself the life like a lawyer and as an economist but I think that it could win it easily as photographer with that tool.
