I have a "Canon 35mm SLR Cameras" brochure from 1990. It agrees with
Dave that the 50mm f/1.8 (no need for a I as the II did not exist) uses
an Arc Form Drive!

The brochure itself is pretty interesting. I includes the following cameras:
T50
T90
F-1 (no mention of "New" but it is the third generation model)
EOS 850
EOS 750
EOS 750QD
EOS 630
EOS 1
I think this was just before the Elan came out.
26 EF lenses 15mm f/2.8 to 600mm f/4L
The only Ultrasonic motor lenses:
28-80mm f/2.8-4 L USM The FIRST USM lens
50mm f/1.0L USM
85mm f/1.2L USM
200mm f/1.8L USM
300mm f/2.8L USM
600mm f/4L USM
Has anyone on the list used an EOS 850? Does anyone still own one?
Mr. Bill
