EOS EF 50/1.8 Mk.1 price

One of my generally over-priced local camera stores has a used
metal-mount, DOF scale bedecked early EF 50mm f/1.8 for $59.95.  If
it's clean and seems to be working, is this a good price?  Anything I
should look for with this lens?
