You can't. There is no control for FEC in the rebel cameras. You can only use
FEC if your EXTERNAL flash has a control for it.
But:
1) You can change ISO to do FEC.
For a -1 Ev FEC you double the ISO value and overexpose +1 Ev in the
ambiental mettering in "M" mode.
Changing normal EC is no solution as it also affects FEC.
2) You must take into account automatic FEC.
EOS cameras feature an automatic FEC that kicks in at Ev 11 ISO 100
(1/90 f/4.5) with -0.5 Ev FEC. It goes to -1.5 Ev FEC at Ev 13 ISO 100
(1/90 f/9.5).
It adds to whatever FEC you dial in the flash/body.
