I've tried the combination of TS-E 24mm + EF 2x some time ago. I think the
quality was very good. The fact that it's quite a large lens with the wide
angle and shift capabilities makes it probably quite hard lens to
manufacture. But the best image quality should be in the middle of the
lens, and that's exactly what you are enlargening. I don't know if that
means really much, but I thought the quality was good compared to the
photos of just the TS-E 24. But if you have one, do give it a try! I can
not comment on the 35-3500 (Although, I've taken good images with 100-400
+ EF 2x...)
