I tried both, see teh review at these links (is in italian, but I
attached photos taken with the lenses):
20mm 1,8

the 20mm Sigma is poor at 1,8, good at 5,6-8 where it can compete with
the nikon 20mm 2,8
the 24-70mm 2,8

good lense since f/5.6 , very good in Macro, at 70mm minimum distance
focus is only 36cm!
