Hi Guys and Gals,

I've noticed that when I use the centre most ECF red square with autofocus
on contrasty objects, my camera has difficulty focussing. What happens is
the USM lens whirrs forwards and backwards, and still doesn't get in focus
most of the time. Sometimes it is successful.

On the other hand, when I use any of the other red ECF squares, the subjects
are easily focused by the camera.

Could it be that I have a bad centre AF sensor, while the rest are OK? It
does not seem to matter whether I'm using the 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens or
the 70-200mm f/2.8L USM lens.

Thanks in advance,

Lawrance
