Welcome to the club ...
Only works with lenses having ring USM AF motors (as in the larger lenses),
and, from what I've read, the 50 f1.4USM fitted with a micro-motor USM. The
EF85 f1.8 USM may be the most affordable lens with this feature. [Canon's
literature seems bedevilled by cautious phrases designed to never give any
hint as to what new stuff they may have in the pipeline.]

Subject: EOS manual focus after AF

Hello list,
snip

I own a ElanIIe/50e and have a EF 28-80 3.5-5.6 IV USM does this lens
have this feature and if so, how can I use it. Do I have to push some
button or turn a switch?
I couldn´t find anything clear about this in my manual.
