4Mpixels is plenty to reach .001 inch circle of confusion (IIRC--did I
get the number right?) which usually defines "depth of field" for 35mm
film.  And since the standard for low precision autofocus is "within
depth of field" and that they would have to change the .001 figure to
something smaller to make up for the increased magnification required
with the 1.3x factor, it may not longer be "within the depth of field"
when trying to focus at f/8. Still, I hope they include the ability to
try focusing at this aperture, even if they don't guarantee
it...probably still would work reasonably well for a percentage of the photos.
