Well, I just got my EOS-1N booster (E1) and it seems that it doesn't have the * symbol in it, that would mean Canon allows me to use the lithium AA batteries. I know Canon says I only can use these batteries with boosters marked with that symbol *, but has any of you used the Energizer AA lithiums with boosters without that mark? I know people who use them with other brand cameras, the makers of which also prohibit that use, without problems but has anyone done it with EOS-1N+E1? BTW, Energizer has a warranty: they claim that they repair/pay any damage caused to the device by the AA lithiums... Interesting.
