Mike,

True, although I would hope that the tripod collar would be approximately in
the right place.
Actually I know that this is wrong,because I have the 100mm f2.8 USM Macro
:-)
It would also depend on the body used.
Perhaps someone with the plates would know, which would further suggest
whether the tripod collars are the same or not.
